Somasankar welcomed the gathering for KOB-87 Get-Together 2017 and appreciated the team for their efforts. He also gave an update on our teachers who are at their old age. He suggested for meeting them for a team felicitation later this year to appreciate their contribution towards our education.
Members who attended GGT for the first time (Muruganandham, Saravanan, Satyaraj, Balamurugan) gave their experience in being part of the gathering. They expressed their happiness in knowing about their old friends and cherished their school memory. Saravanan invited all the members to his new resort in Ooty for next meet and informed that Accommodation expenses will be taken care of him.
The entire KOB-87 team appreciated the efforts being made by Sakthivel in bringing the team gother and co-ordination with other key members for all team activities. He was honored with Sun of KOB-87 award.
Key members Balasundarm, P Mariappan, Kanna Ram and Somasankar were felicitated by felicitation team comprising of Chella kumar, Delex and Panneer Selvam. New incoming member Muruganadham was felicitated as well.
Sakthivel thanked the team for their efforts in execution all the activities for get-together (Banners – Manimaran, Key event calendar – Mrs Sakthivel). Sakthivel requested the team members to come forward to do team related activities and to execute the ideas they have for the team with passion. Also requested to members to contribute to the KOB-87 funds regularly.
Anson placed a request to help his friend (outside KOB group) to pay for son’s engineering fees. Though they are trying various avenues, immediate help is appreciated as they have poor economical background. Many members came forward to help a bright student to pursue his studies.
Chellakumar suggested to pay the monthly subscription amount regularly which should be used to monetarily aid any member in distress. Tour related money has to be collected in addition to subscription. Also suggested any fund related to group activities should flow to KOB-87 account and it has to be used from there. No final decision made on this yet.
Mariappan P requested for paying the subscription on a yearly basis as it would be difficult to track the payments on monthly basis. No final decision made on this yet.
